Be sure to watch the video of my photo shoot with photog Cynthia and model Lin.

I met Cynthia while taking photography classes at Crealde School of Art in Winter Park, Florida.  I was pretty surprised when she said she wanted to take part in my “Photograph a Model” program.  Cynthia actually has her own photography business, and I was excited that we were going to get to do a shoot together.  Be sure to visit Cynthia’s Photography Web Site to check out her work.  We decided on an outdoor photo shoot.  We enlisted model Lin and headed up to Cranes Roose Park in Altamonte Springs, Florida.  Cranes Roost is a really awesome location for a photo shoot.  However, we were there during the hottest part of the day, so we pretty much confined our shoot with our model to a couple of locations.  Here are some photos I took of Cynthia that day.

We enlisted Lin as our model.  Lin is not only beautiful, she is also very smart.  She works as an Engineer for a local IT company.  Here are some of the photos I took of Lin during our photo shoot.

Susan recently purchased her first DSLR camera.  She was eager to learn more about how to use the settings on the camera other than that little green setting (automatic!).  She hails from West Virginia but hopes to move to Florida some day.  We decided upon an inside shoot where we could practice using flash and video lights.  Our model was Fashion Designer / Makeup Artist / Photographer Kat Knapp, who is a multi-talented and very sweet lady.  As a Fashion Designer, Kat designed and made a gorgeous couture gown.  She beaded the corsette by hand, which is a painstaking process.  This particular gown won the first prize award in the Out of this World Fashion Show held at the History Center in Orlando, Florida.  The Fashion show was all about modelling ”Extraordinary Costumes From Film and Television.”   Many of the designs were based on villians and superheroes.  You can view a video about the Fashion show here.  Be sure to watch the video because you will get more insight into her design and see her win first place!   Kat also had very neat spider web contact lenses that matched the spider web design in the dress.  I have included one photo where you can see the spider web design in the eyes.  Kat rocks, and I wish her the best in her Fashion Design career.  Look for some good stuff from her!

Christine recently got her first DSLR camera and was eager to learn, so we decided on a combination indoor/outdoor photo shoot.  This allowed us to practice using a combination of lighting techniques.  We used the ExpoDisk to customize our white balance on the indoor shots.  We also used a combination of flash and video lighting.  We enlisted Lataya Thompson of Orlando as our model and headed out to the Hilton-Orlando for our photo shoot.  We were there during the Bridal Show and talked one of the vendors into letting us photograph Lataya as she browsed dozens of wedding gowns on display there.  We had a great shoot and a lot of fun together.

My first “Photograph a Model with Connie” session was with Cheryl Parris of Atlanta, GA. We decided on a night photo shoot utilizing video lights and off camera flash. Here is some video of the behind the scenes of our photo shoot with model Rebecca of Orlando, FL.

Dec 312009

Cheryl Parris came all the way from Atlanta, Georgia to photograph a model with me.  She does happen to be my sister, but has developed an interest in photography and wanted to learn more and hone her skills.  We enlisted the gorgeous model Rebecca for the photo shoot.  We went to Baldwin Park in Orlando and did a late evening/night photo shoot.  When it became dark, we got out the video lights and off camera flash and had a great time practicing our lighting skills.

Welcome to Photograph a Model with Connie!   I hope to have the opportunity to photograph a model with you!

When you contact me, we discuss the type of photo shoot you would be interested in such as Wedding, Swimsuit, High Fashion, Glamour, etc.   We then decide upon a time and a neat location.   I provide the model and we do a photo shoot together!

A DSLR camera is preferred, but if all you have is a point and shoot camera and you still want to participate, no problem!  Just bring the camera you want to use and we will have a great time photographing together!

I also like to video record clips of the session to provide a behind the scenes video.  I will be taking photos of you during the session as well as the model you are photographing.  You will get a DVD of the images I take of you, and you will be able to use the images you create during this session in your portfolio.  You and the model you photograph will be featured on this website as well as a sampling of the photos I took from the session.

We will be spending up to 4 hours together.  Your investment will be $200.00.  If you are interested please email me:  I want to photograph a model with you!
